Zubaan is looking for interns to work with us starting April 2026. Please read our guidelines below and fill out the Google form by midnight on 28 January, 2026. We will get back to selected candidates only by mid-February to set up interviews (via Zoom).
PROGRAMME SPECIFICATIONS
Duration: 8-12 weeks (starting anytime from April 2026, and last date not exceeding 31 August 2026)
In-house at the Zubaan office (Shahpur Jat, New Delhi)/ Remote (depending on the candidate’s location)
Full-time: 9:30 am-5:30 pm, weekdays
Administrative expenses: INR 8000 per month
Age criteria: 20-30 years
All positions are reserved for women, queer, trans, non-binary and other gender minorities belonging to Dalit, Bahujan, Adivasi/Tribal communities, religious minorities or Northeast India.These are the four internship profiles available:DESIGN INTERNS will closely assist the team in outreach initiatives across Zubaan’s digital media profiles, communication channels and programme spaces.
EDITORIAL INTERNS will work closely with the editorial team and gain hands-on experience in feminist publishing. The role involves supporting various stages of the editorial and publishing process.
MARKETING INTERNS will help manage and analyse stock data, maintain records across Excel and assist with backend updates for the Zubaan Books website. They will also contribute to research and strategy around marketing Zubaan titles.
PROJECT INTERNS will work with ‘Our Story, Our Words’, a project under Zubaan, focusing on research and creative writing.
