Zubaan has commissioned a series of video interviews, where artists, performers, writers, activists speak about their lives and work, drawing on indigenous cultures, musical traditions and instruments, their choice of languages and subjects and a range of other subjects. In doing so, they draw a map of belonging that traces their connections with the land, ideas of home, the ways in which cultures travel and change, and their own personal journeys.
We have also commissioned and produced filmmakers to collect stories and narratives from their communities and create documentaries of varying lengths using participatory methods.
