Lyrical Resistance in the Shillong Music Scene: Women in Music and Dissidence

Longnam Wanbiang Kharpuri was born and brought up in Shillong, Meghalaya. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in Union Christian College, Meghalaya. She obtained her MPhil degree from Delhi University with a dissertation titled, ‘Construing a Modern Notion of Khasi Identity’ which delved into the intricacies of Khasi tribal identity, culture, history, and literature.
